Picture
Sarah is a part-time MSc Forestry student in the School of Environmental and Natural Sciences at Bangor University, UK.  She holds a BA in Geography from the University of Oxford and an MA in Medical Anthropology from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.  Prior to studying forestry, she taught English in Japan and worked as a research project manager at the University of Oxford.

Sarah completed the UK Forestry Commission’s LANTRA-accredited award, ‘Wildfire and Prescribed Fire Training’, and her MSc research is focused on adapting the wildfire exposure and directional vulnerability assessments to the British landscape.

She is actively seeking professional opportunities to apply her skills in forestry, GIS, and landscape-scale analysis in regions where land management and climate resilience are key priorities.  She brings a strong foundation in research, a pragmatic approach, and a commitment to data-informed decision-making in forestry and environmental science, alongside her transferable skills in financial and project management.
