Andrew Stack
Andrew Stack was a member of the Wildfire Analytics team while completing an MSc in Forest Biology and Management (2024) at the Department of Renewable Resources, University of Alberta. He also holds a BSc specializing in Geology from the University of Alberta.
Andrew's MSc thesis, Influence of Airborne Ocularly-Assessed Stand Density on Wildfire Escapes and Containment Challenges, investigated the influence of forest density on fire behaviour by modeling the probability of fire escapes and containment challenges as a function of fuel, fire and weather attributes. |
