Jared Randall
Jared Randall is PhD student in the Department of Renewable Resources at the University of Alberta. Jared graduated with distinction in 2022, with a BSc in Environmental and Conservation Science. During his time as an undergraduate, Jared was involved with several projects across the Department of Biology and the Department of Renewable Resources. In the fall of 2020, Jared joined Wildfire Analytics as a research assistant and has been involved with the lab since then. Jared also gained experience as a wildland firefighter in the summer of 2021, and worked as a field research assistant for Wildfire Analytics in the summer of 2022.
Jared’s research interests include assessing the effect of harvest disturbances on subsequent wildfire activity, and how this relationship changes as time since the harvest event increases. |
