Katia Davi-Digui

Katia is an MSc Candidate in the Department of Renewable Resources at the University of Alberta. She holds a BSc in Mathematics from MacEwan University (2021). Following her first year of university in 2018, Katia got a job with Alberta Wildfire working as an Airtanker Base Loader. Since then, she has returned to Alberta Wildfire every summer as an Airtanker Base Supervisor, spending most of her time in Edson and High Level - including the Chuckegg Creek fire in 2019. This position sparked Katia’s interest in Wildfire Analytics and lead to her pursuing a master’s focusing on aircraft efficiency on wildfires.
